Construction has completed for the 2019 Henley & Villawood Properties’ Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Good Friday Appeal’s (GFA) Charity House. Going under the hammer on Good Friday 19th April 2019 will be a stunning Sahara 38 with grand alfresco, by Henley Homes, a 38-square, 4-bedroom house, located at 16 Domingo Avenue, Clyde North, which is part of Villawood’s boutique Delaray community. The RCH GFA Charity Home Auction has become one of Victoria’s most loved auction events and one of the biggest contributors to The Appeal each year.  The project initially started in 1993, when the Henley directors decided to build and donate a home, with every cent raised at auction being donated. Each year since, Henley staff, Tradies and suppliers have generously provided materials and labour. For the second year, every piece of furniture, soft furnishing and decorative piece inside the Sahara 38 on auction day will be donated by the furniture partners and included as part of the auction price. The record for the RCH GFA Charity House Auction was set in 2018, with the Emperor 41 by Henley, located at Mickleham, selling for $860,000 – every cent of which went to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

2019 marks Henley’s 26th year of building and donating houses to the Good Friday Appeal; and the 10th year of Villawood generously donating land. The 2019 home is Henley’s Sahara 38, a 38-square home, with grand alfresco, four spacious bedrooms, five living areas, and shower to ground floor powder room. The house will be appointed with luxury fittings and fixtures; and finished with professional landscaping, decking, ducted heating, air-conditioning and window coverings. All the furniture featured in the home has been donated and will be sold as part of the overall auction price.  The house is situated on a 549m2 corner block at 16 Domingo Avenue, in Villawood’s Delaray community in Clyde North overlooking the wetlands right in front of the home. Located just down the road from Club Delaray, the buyer will have access to the exclusive residents-only facility comprising two swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym, parents’ lounge, function room and café; backing onto a landscaped neighbourhood park with active play zones, a playground, and large kick-about areas.

The key home features include: gourmet kitchen with 20mm Caesarstone benchtops and  SMEG stainless steel extra-large appliances and microwave; walk-in butler’s pantry; spacious master suite with ensuite and large WIR; three additional bedrooms with BIR/WIR; four separate living spaces including separate theatre and study; full landscape package including an irrigation system; and Henley Home’s  50-year structural guarantee.
