As the aesthetic appeal of concrete continues to grow in home renovating, so too does the demand for alternative materials offering the same visual appeal but also providing technical performance. Artedomus’ [Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth] expanded Beton collection offers a practical, high-performance alternative to traditional concrete. These innovative surfaces look and feel like concrete while offering the technical benefits of porcelain. The Beton collection allows designers, architects and home renovators to create striking concrete-inspired interiors using a combination of Artegres tiles and large-format Artetech Porcelain Panels for benchtops, floorings, walls and splashbacks.
Artetech is a range of large-format pressed porcelain panels created for benchtops, flooring, walls and splashbacks. The new Artetech Beton collection has a finish that authentically recreates the look of concrete, produced randomly with a rolled and printed texture so that there is no visible pattern or repetition. The 10 colours range from ice and white to graphite and brown; and include dust, rope, beige, grey, mud and smoke. Artetech Beton is available in two sizes and two thicknesses for a multitude of purposes. The largest panels are 2500 X 1190mm, reducing the need for joins in a surface. They come in the option of 6mm or 12mm thickness, the latter suitable for a kitchen island benchtop. The ten concrete-inspired colours have through-body colouring so that edges can be honed. Artedomus stocks a selection of colours, with others available on custom order. The second panel is 2500 X 900mm with a 12mm thickness. It is available in three through-body colours – graphite, rope and smoke – and is a custom item to reduce wastage on benchtops and splashbacks.
Artegres Beton tiles are available in the same 10 concrete-inspired colours to complement the large-format ceramic panels. The range includes three sizes and two thicknesses [12mm and 4.8mm]; and smooth, natural-finish tiles can be blended with structured, texture-finish tiles to create a variety of surface effects. These blends offer the opportunity to play with pattern and texture, while still achieving the sought-after look of concrete.
