PGH Bricks & Pavers recently introduced their latest collection of designer house bricks – the Dry Pressed range, which comprises nine bricks in an assortment of natural Australian tones: Belgenny Brown, Gledswood Blend, Hawkesbury Bronze, Livingston Gold, Macarthur Mix, McGarvie Red, Megalong Valley Grey, Mowbray Blue and Wolverton Cream. The look of Dry Pressed bricks is architecturally solid and they epitomise brick manufacturing excellence. The high compression used as part of the manufacturing process for Dry Pressed bricks provides a grainy, yet smooth and velvety appearance. Their square arris is also an important part of their aesthetic appeal, allowing imaginative possibilities when it comes to innovative architecture.
A striking feature wall in this contemporary Sydney eastern suburbs home creates a dramatic entrance. The wall uses PGH Mowbray Blue face bricks in a Flemish bond, punctuated with random protrusions, to create a sense of drama and scale. The PGH Dry Pressed range is produced in the standard working brick size of 230mmL x 110mmW x 76mmH. The Mowbray Blue and Gledswood Blend bricks from the range also come in splits of 230mmL x 110mmW x 50mmH.
